Award-winning interior designer Amy Wheeler is all about a room that can be lived in. "I believe that we all want to be surrounded by a space that reflects our personality." With over 15 years of experience in both residential and commercial projects, Amy has a unique ability to personalize the design process and not box herself into a particular look or trend. "This is key in providing timeless design."
Armed with an Interior Design degree from Harding University, I started my career in commercial design with a focus in space planning. This start has impacted one of my big focuses, Function over Form! Meaning what you put in the room and where you put it, just as much or even more than how pretty it is — while we all wish we lived in a magazine, we don’t. I strive to help make sure your space will fit your needs & lifestyle and of course look good doing it.
After my start in commercial design, I ended up at Ethan Allen in what I can only call God’s intervention. I was so surprised by how much I enjoyed working in residential, the personal aspect that happens when you are working in someone’s home and how good design can really affect their lives. Spending 7 years at Ethan Allen working with classic and traditional clients focusing on custom furniture, window treatments & bedding as well as the importance of the right art and accents for a room, really helped me hone my skills with the volume of homes I was able to work in.
After having my daughter during a pandemic, I have decided to step out on my own and take all my experience and help those with both large and small projects. If you just need help refreshing your living room bookcases, or would like some help building your dream home and everything in-between - I would love to partner with you!
